Sneha Sarah Mani

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. My research focuses on how social, environmental, and economic factors throughout the life course influence adult health globally, with a special emphasis on low- and middle-income countries. Currently, my work centers on three main areas: investigating how key socioeconomic factors contribute to inequalities in later-life cognitive function among older adults; characterizing the impacts of environmental hazards on adult health to inform public health interventions; and collecting, measuring, and analyzing cognitive data among Chilean adults to enhance our understanding of cognitive aging in this population.I hold a Ph.D. in Demography from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.A. in Development Studies from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Delhi. During my doctoral studies, I was the 2020-2021 Sobti Doctoral Fellow at the Center for the Advanced Study of India (CASI) at the University of Pennsylvania.
